Projects in Policy Analysis & Advocacy

The MCH-STAR Policy Analysis and Advocacy (P&A) component focuses on improving information and platforms for evidence-based MNCHN policy development and change. MCH-STAR only supports P&A projects that flow from SSI policy analyses, R&E findings, TA recommendations or they may be independent P&A proposals that are based on existing evidence and data. Currently MCH-STAR is supporting SSIs to undertake the following activities:

• An evidence review and advocacy for increased accountability to reduce maternal and neonatal mortality
  
  
• An evidence review and advocacy for improving the utilization of flexible funds under NRHM in Jharkhand
  
  
• Evidence review of birth preparedness/complication readiness (known as micro-planning under the NRHM/JSY scheme) leading to Advocacy
